"Happiness", Pivnica Brhlovce, Pesecká Leánka, 2022, 12%

A Slovakian wine made from the popular Feteasca Regala grape. After fermentation the wine sits on its skins in an open tub (making it an orange wine, made in the traditional way), and is then matured in old oak barrels for 11 months. A bigger style of orange wine, packed full of orange and apricot flavours, with a notable scent of spicy clove. Lots of structure and a pleasing fine tannin made this super food friendly.
